Cartooning and more with pencils
Classes for grades K-6
Do it all: well-known cartoon characters, your own characters, greeting cards, higher-level cartoon drawings. Also traditional drawing of animals, people, landscapes, and objects. Learn the basics of professional-level illustration. Discover what you really want to draw. Paced to the individual student. Black graphite and colored watercolor pencils. Please review the supply list before registering, and then use the list when your enrollment is confirmed.
I have included here a guide to shading techniques for you to print out and practice with.

July 11, 18, 25; August 1, 8, 22, and 29 (all Sundays except August 15.) Seven sessions. The summer classes will have more projects assigned to do at home than the school year classes.
$67 per child for those attending all seven classes, $57 for those attending six classes, and $48 for those attending five classes (so you can adapt to vacation plans) Class size 5-12 students. Contact the instructor to sign up.
Cartooning and more with acrylics
For grades 3-6 This class will be offered in the future, as a follow-up to the Cartooning and More with Pencils class. Learn how to paint cartoons, realistic art, and interpretive art. Create great backgrounds for your superheroes, and make wild fantasy characters. Learn the basics of professional-level illustration. Do landscapes, still-lifes, and more. Learn the secrets of planning a painting and how to gradually change from one color to another. Let me know if you want to be contacted when this class is available.
